The Lessons
Swimming is a life skill that can be enjoyed at all ages through out our lives, it is beneficial to your children's health and development and could save a life.
We have a comprehensive selection of lessons to cover a wide variety of abilities, strength and maturity levels. Children progress quickly if they are in a class that is relevent to their age and ability. Our lessons aim at improving confidence, technique and stamina. We also incorporate plenty of fun during the lesson.
Siblings are kept as close together in our class lists as their ability level allows. Our class sizes are six pupils to one teacher with a maximum of 7 in a class. In all of our classes the children are encouraged to swim without floats.
We have assessments at the beginning and end of each term to ensure that the children are in the best possible class for their ability, they move up when they have achieved a certain standard in each class.

Crash Courses
Our crash courses consist of one half hour lesson each day
for 5 days. This is a good introduction to swimming for your child,
the aim of the courses is to build and improve water confidence
in all age groups, to improve weak swimmers strokes and to give
the younger ones an introduction to water safety and structured
lessons. Many of them begin to swim during the week's crash course.
Children from the age of three and a half are welcome. If your child
is nervous or frightened or is having difficulty during their normal
lessons. Our crash courses are designed to help and to give the
children fun in the water. For availability please contact us.
Awards Scheme
The ASA is the recognised governing body for swimming, it follows the National Curriculum. Our lessons work towards ASA Awards during two terms each year. The awards are attractive certificates and cloth badges. During the January - April term the lessons concentrate on all the swimming strokes (appropriate to the class) and the children will receive an Easter Egg. Awards and Easter Eggs all reward and motivate the children for the achievements made.
